The Hornet is a relatively small rotating electronic siren produced by Whelen Engineering. It uses a single 400W compression driver, and is incapable of making voice announcements.
HOWEVER, one of Mount Pleasant, Michigan's Whelen Hornets is located at a state park, and reports from park rangers state that a microphone can be plugged into the siren controller and can be used as a park loudspeaker, meaning that this specific Hornet has a voice-capable controller.
