The C2 1/2 or commonly known as the Model 5 was a 5 or 3 horsepower, mechanical, omnidirectional siren produced by Federal Signal Corporation part of the Fedelcode lineup. Sometimes people manage to confuse the Model 5 with the C1 1/2 Model 3. The C2 1/2 or Model 5 was a step down from the C3 1/2 or commonly known as the Model 7. The rotor is 15 inches in diameter and shares the same rotor as the 12-port side of the XT22 and 2001 Series sirens. There are two variant of the Model 5: the Model 5 which was available in 12 and 8 port single tone, and Model 5T which is 9/12 port dual tone. The siren was housed in a very simple enclosure that resembles an air vent found on building roofs.
