The EOWS series (Electronic Outdoor Warning Siren) was a line of electronic sirens produced by Federal Signal Corporation.
Models
There were a total of 6 models, the 115, 408, 612, 812, 1212 and M12
EOWS*115
The 115 was the first model to be produced by Federal Signal. It is different from the rest of the models, instead of using rounded speakers as the rest of the series the 115 rectangle horn speakers.
EOWS*408
The smallest model of the rotating sirens in the series. Not many of these are known to exist.
EOWS*612
The most popular of the EOWS series. Many of these are still in use.
EOWS*812
The tallest and loudest out of the series. Not many of these sirens are known to be in service, though some still exist.
EOWS*M12
The M12, also called the Mobile SiraTone, is a vehicle mounted siren and was made so that siren warning tones and public address announcements could be sounded from multiple locations.[1]
