Hello, and welcome to the page on Consumer's Energy! Consumer's Energy is a large energy provider in the lower peninsula of Michigan, and they operate several hydroelectric power plants. To warn the people around those plants, they need a siren system, and they have a siren system.

The Manistee River Siren System consists of 4 sirens - all Federal Signal Modulator 6024 sirens, running on UltraVoice control panels. They are tested in voice and wail once every August and December, at 9:30 AM. The tests are usually announced about a week in advance. The sirens are located at the US High Bridge Forest Service Boat Launch, the State Forest Campground on Coates Highway, at Tippy Dam, and at the entrance to the Manistee River Trail near the Hodenpyl Dam.

The Muskegon River Siren System consists of 10 sirens - all Federal Signal Modulator 6024 sirens, running on UltraVoice control panels. They are tested in voice and wail once every August and December, at 9:30 AM. The tests are usually announced about a week in advance. The locations are sometimes in the middle of nowhere, sometimes in urban areas. They are located at South Spruce Road, Thornapple Avenue, Tanglewood Drive, the Croton Dam, in Croton, Cole Road, E 44th Street, and the Hardy Dam.

The Rogers Dam Siren System consists of 1 siren - a Federal Signal Modulator 6024 siren, running on an UltraVoice control panel. It is tested in voice and wail once every August and December, at 9:30 AM. The tests are usually announced about a week in adavance. The siren is located at the Rogers Dam and has a Yagi Antenna due to its distance from the repeater. It is run in tandem with the Muskegon River Siren System.
