I saw Liza Soberano's commercial of this product and liked that it's not just a cleanser with 0% alcohol but also uses a Micellar Water to effectively get rid of dirts and pollution for a bright, soft & smooth skin. Extra White - it's formulated with Pearl Extract and Licorice that help brighten complexion with regular use.youtube.com H-balanced, free of alcohol, paraben, fragrance, silicone & colorant. Application : Use with cotton ball pad and gentle wipe over face.youtube.com What is MicellAir or Micellar Water? It's made of Micelles - a microscopic cleansing oil molecules that lifts out impurities without drying out the skin. When using Micellar Water you don't need to over rub your face unlike with the typical facial cleanser.
PPD 39 onto my left side (right side in photo). I did this after applying my Bioderma Sensibio Light moisturiser and letting it sink in. Hada Labo - feels lovely and light, like it'd be very gentle and refreshing on my skin. Spreads easily. No strong smell but slightly chemical/alcohol-y. Not enough to bother me at all or smell it when it's on your face I think. Bioderma - smells like what green would smell like, if green was a smell? Like a heavier gel as opposed to cream. Green colour. Green green green green. The Hada Labo applied beautifully.
It didn't feel like a struggle to get the half spoon on, it just needed several mins to settle, understandably.youtube.com For the Bioderma, it was much more of a struggle to get it all on and it was much more tempting to drag some down onto my neck. It was SHINY. REALLY SHINY. Honestly, this stuff was green on my face and it unfortunately wasn't picked up on the camera. I also tried to show its colour in another of the linked images by showing my cheek and neck, but nah, I don't think it shows. 10 mins in, the Bioderma began stinging my eye really bad and was still green, was wet on my face and not settling.
It just wiped off on my finger as if I applied it seconds ago. Bits of dirt also started sticking to it. The Hada Labo felt moist, not dry as such, didn't cause any eye stinging for me and was not coming off on my finger. I started tearing up on the Bioderma side 20 mins in and had to wipe it off around my eye, hence the sunscreenless eye area on that side in the second round of UV photos. At this point the Bioderma had started to settle though, not looking much more shiny than the Hada Labo but still not completely dried.
Parent test: Asked my caveman Dad (organic veg grower, doesn't have a notion about face products. Bioderma wasn't noticeable, but that the Bioderma side was the shinier side. Minutes later he said "ah yeah, that side's a bit greener alright". Mum - She said I "look paler" on the Hada Labo side. Yes, jeez, thanks, that one's my actual colour 🙄 Strangely she said she doesn't notice any green on Bioderma side. Hmm. Is this a reflection on the Bioderma, my mother's eyesight, or my own eyesight? An hour in and the Bioderma still felt wet and made a wet/sticky noise when touched 😬 The Hada Labo didn't feel wet but didn't feel like a dry film either, it felt like a moisturised face.youtube.com My right side, the Hada Labo, started to feel slightly irritated at the 2 hour mark.
Had a bit of tingling on my cheek and nasolabial fold. No redness though. At this stage I hadn't looked at a mirror for an hour and what I saw when I did look was that the Hada Labo looked beautiful, had a gorgeous sheen. On the Bioderma side, there was no longer an obvious green colour but it was still quite shiny. On rubbing my jawline there was balling and peeling of the Bioderma but nothing coming off on the Hada Labo side. About the Hada Labo, I was unable to find information on it's PPD rating. I always want a better idea than this.
I didn't make contact with Hada Labo, so it's possible they would disclose this information. Anybody know the PPD of this one? With sunscreens hitting the 30s, 40s and above these days, the idea of 16 doesn't excite me at all. At this point (2 hours in) of the UV test, it was obvious that the protection of Hada was not far off completely gone. I decided to wipe off my full face of sunscreen, both sides, and reapply 2 layers of the Hada Labo to see how it compared with one fresh layer of the Bioderma. After the reapplication, there was a green tinge again with the Bioderma.
It was again much shinier than Hada Labo and I struggled to apply it all. The Hada Labo again looked beautiful and I'd no issue with layering. UV breakdown: I think we'd probably all agree that the performance of the Hada Labo was disappointing compared to that of the Bioderma. Pretty much gone at 2 hours? That's just not good enough unfortunately. When I'd reapplied the Hada Labo with two layers, it still didn't match up to the coverage of one layer of the [http://bit.ly/2X2IKw1 Buy Bioderma products online], although it did last longer than it had done before the reapplication. The Bioderma, obviously providing much better protection, also held up very well.
Non UV breakdown: The Hada Labo gives me my dream application and finish. And of course, I like how, as an Irish person (we love our friggin' tea) Cosdna says this product has TEA in it. WOO. Not sure what the TEA stands for, but I'm already happy without learning any more (unless it's a god awful ingredient). It's light, moisturising and is just what I'd consider perfect to wear. The Bioderma - well 😕 Not so hotso. Between the 1 hour and 2 hour photos after reapplying the sunscreens I went for a walk with my dogs along the countryside road in the absolutely-nowhere area of West Cork that I live in.
I was dressed like a circus freak and didn't give a damn, BUT we unusually met two cars on the road and I was embarrassed at the idea that they'd see my face! It wasn't quite green by that stage, but it was shiny and sticky looking, and my hair kept clinging right onto it. This one's not for me and that's before even mentioning the eye stinging thing. As well, in the link of photos that I attached in the heading, you see a cotton pad I used to wipe away the Bioderma and yep, you guessed it. Overall breakdown: The Bioderma did very well for protection but for me, it's unwearable. It's unfortunately basically the other way around for me with the Hada Labo, this was AMAZING in the non UV sense, but the protection just doesn't seem good enough as far as I'm concerned. Side note: Got my wickedly stylish P.J.'s from Penneys/Primark folks. How many votes for an Amyvancheese merch line soon? All clothing items would have UV protection, naturally.youtube.com I've also kicked off an Instagram account guys! Same name, amyvancheese. Check it out.
Every winter, I struggle through the trials/tribulations of dry skin. Christ, my skin gets SO DRY - think scaly and gross with an added flare-up of eczema if I’m lucky.youtube.com I am 100% not alone in this - for many of us, winter is the worst because the constant in/out of heated workplaces and brisk outdoor conditions wreak havoc on our natural skin balance. It can feel like all you do is scratch and flake everywhere (sorry). I’ve been through a mammoth amount of skincare products to try and fix the issue - from rich face creams to expensive body lotions. Finally, I’ve found the answer(s). These five products have turned my skin around, keeping eczema at bay and dry patches non-existent.youtube.com Well, pretty much non-existent.
Okay - disclaimer here in that you should always consult your doctor about medication. But basically I was taking some other anti-histamines, and my doctor told me for my personal situation to take these - they’re higher dose, and seem to completely clear up my eczema itching. This was a starting point, I needed to mention them because without these, I don’t think my eczema issues would have calmed. Oh my GOD, this all-over cream changed my life.youtube.com It’s affordable (the tube is big and a little goes a long way) and super gentle on the most irritated of skins.
