Hormann HLS 273
HLS-273 head in Germany
Company Hormann
Produced mid 1970s-mid 1980s
Type Pneumatic
Sound output 124 dBc at 100 feet

The HLS-273 is the last type of pneumatic siren made by German manufacture Hormann gmbH. It was an even more improved F-71 by use of a smaller head and had either a diesel or electric powered air compressor and generator. This is the most common pneumatic siren in Germany and there is at least 30+ still in service. The downside is that it is not as loud as the F-71.
