== How it Works ==
The siren is made up of cells that contain four compression driver speakers a piece.  The sound is projected downward through an opening underneath each cell, it then bounces off the top of the cell underneath the opening and is projected outward. The bottom cell is a "dummy" cell that does not contain any speakers, it is used to help even out the sound distribution from the last active cell in the stack.

== Differences from the Modulator ==
It differs from the Modulator in that it is a shorter and thinner siren making it more compact.

The MOD6032 and MOD6048 models are replaced the MOD 8032B model which is a smaller more compact model.

The Modulator II is an electronic siren produced by Federal Signal Corporation and is an evolution of the original Modulator, being shorter, narrower and thus more compact. It is modular, containing a variable number of cells. Each active cell contains up to four 100W compression drivers and directs sound downward to the top of the cell below it, where it is redirected outward. The bottom-most cell is a dummy to direct sound from the lowest active cell.

The MOD6032 and MOD6048 models are replaced the MOD 8032B model which is a smaller more compact model.
