Mobile sirens are designed to be portable and quickly deployed wherever is necessary. Typically mounted on a trailer with a hydraulic crane that lets the siren raise and lower, these sirens are typically used when power is unavailable, the main system has been knocked out, or as a PA system for large gatherings. The vast majority of mobile sirens are electronic, as their voice capabilities and DC power make them ideally suited for this purpose. While mechanical mobile sirens do exist, they are few and far between.
