Be a friend to change - my 7 Day Prayer Miracle Review spiritual father and pastor told me this in 1990 when I first became a lawyer and I thought he was crazy! What do you mean be a friend to change? He explained that change is like death and taxes, it always comes. Therefore, be friendly to change by being open and flexible to change. Basically, he was saying do not resist change.

Resisting change sets us up to keep getting more of what we have been getting. Usually, we do not want that. Resistance keeps our focus on what we do not want. The saying goes, "what you resist, persists." It takes heavy energy to resist. You are pushing against what you do not want. Stop resisting and allow. Track your resistance by gauging how easy your energy is. The truth is that even when we allow "disasters" to happen, they turn out to be perfect.

Not to be morbid, but I did not want my mother to die. I watched her in the hospital taking her last breath. I could not imagine life without her. Today, I am grateful she did not suffer. I am grateful that I did not watch her in a comma for months on end. I am grateful that I did not have to take care of her in a bed ridden state. I am grateful that I spent the last minutes of her life with her. That is perfect.

I discovered that on the other side of resistance often there is such beauty and relief. For instance, my sweetie bought me an ipod for my birthday one January and I thought it was so pretty to look at. Secretly, I felt intimidated and technologically challenged. Finally, in August, I decided to ask questions about it. I found myself downloading music and books on CD that I owned and gurgling with laughter every time I heard the ping that the down load was complete.
