Sandy Springs is a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia located just north of I-285 in Fulton County near Dunwoody. The city maintains a system of 12 sirens, mostly consisting of 2001-130s (two of which have Federal DSA-4s on the pole) however it also includes two Federal Signal Modulators. The system was installed in February 2012, with the DSAs being installed later in October of the same year. They are tested every month on the first Wednesday at noon in three minutes of attack along with neighboring Cobb County, Georgia, who tests in alert. The sirens in Sandy Springs are sounded during a tornado warning, or a severe thunderstorm warning with a tornado watch in effect.
