Taizhou Lion King Signal Company, Limited, commonly shortened to Lion King Signal or just Lion King, is a Taizhou, ZJ-based manufacturer and reseller of public safety and emergency warning equipment founded in 2005.
They have gained a reputation within the siren community for their copies of various American manufacturer's sirens, such as Federal Signal, Sentry, and ASC, but have otherwise produced original (and in some cases unusual) designs.
History
Taizhou Lion King Signal was founded in 2005, as a division of Zhejiang (or Zhejing) Lion King Ventilator Co, Ltd., which was founded in 2003 in Taizhou, ZJ (though one source suggests they were founded in 1994). They began producing sirens soon after, releasing their 3 main lineups, the Manual Sirens, the Industrial Motor Sirens, and the Large Electromechanical Sirens, as well as some other standalone sirens. Their first website seems to have been lksos.com, which formerly belonged to the Lance Key School of Soccer in San Antonio, Texas. They would create 2 more websites in March and September of 2008, these being soslk.com and fire-siren.com respectively, which were essentially mirrors of their first website. lionkingsignal.com would also go up in either December of 2008 or January of 2009. In the mid-2010s, Lion King would streamline their lineup, discontinuing several sirens and replacing them with a few new ones, including the DEFENDER. In 2019, lionkingsignal.com would receive a new site layout, as opposed to the standard lksos.com layout. In 2021, Lion King would move to their current(?) site, lkrescue.com, which superseded lksos.com.
